Here's an unusual one. You will notice that i go idle after a while and finally get booted. The reason is that I was uploading a big file and went on the MUCK in search of something more intersting than watching paint dry. I found it, and after a while I saved the scrollback buffer and started logging. A while after that my browser crashed and froze the whole user interface. I couldn't type or use the mouse; all I could do was reboot, but if I did that the upload would be interrupted, and from the look of the HD and modem lamps it was still running (only without visual feedback), so I decided to leave the computer alone for a while. And that's why I got this whole scene logged without any interaction from my side... (I have left in the message indicating the start of the 'forward' log, and a quick search of this edited file shows that I didn't pose or speak after that... Couldn't page either, which is kind of bad because I got some pages from someone about a problem I had reported...) Looks like I saved the start a bit late though. Before this there was a bit of horseplay (skunkplay?) including someone rolling a snowball right at me; I responded to that by "watching the snowball grow and grow until it collapses under its own weight". IIRC, Venya said something about wanting some better snow than that, and that's when I shook down the first tree over him... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Venya_Bluefur snuggles down with Shiiasa in the snowpile, curling up alongside the nearly equally large skunktaur. Spots_Fragrante whispers, "stick me in the tree, ill give em snow =P." to you. Venya_Bluefur nods. "With a meter or so on the ground I could burrow right out of sight. Ormp." *Thumpp* No more woozle. Skunkie walks over to another tree and lets Spot climb into it. Spots_Fragrante climbs up onto it. Spots_Fragrante makes a big snowball. Spots_Fragrante tosses it at Shiiasa! Spots_Fragrante makes another, "Tee-Hee!" Shiiasa oomfs! Spots_Fragrante tosses this snowball at Venya! ( *KER-POW* ) <-- My spoof Venya_Bluefur is vanished beneath the snow, taken to burrowing along and revealed by a barely visible ripple above, like a sandworm trace. Spots_Fragrante throws more snowballs at Venya till shes covered above her head in 1'.. Skunkie ooohs. Falan mole! Spots_Fragrante hops down outta the tree! You whisper, "Uh, Venya is a male..." to Spots_Fragrante. Spots_Fragrante whaps his keyboard.. Spades looks at all the snow heres too...mmm Juanita laughs. Venya_Bluefur pauses, invisible beneath the snow, then recognizes Skunkie by her footfalls and heads in her direction. Snow bulges up as he burrows along.... Spots_Fragrante gets stuck up sidedown on his head. Skunkie eeps and starts running. Venya_Bluefur burrows after Skunkie, just as fast as she is, as she sinks into the snow with each step. *Cue Jaws Music* Spots_Fragrante's arms move around furiously! "Help, I'm Stuck Upsidedown!" Skunkie's player grins. Was just thinking of that theme... Skunkie jumps up on a bench. Spots_Fragrante is stuck in snow! Yes Sslaxx! Help Meee! Shiiasa murrrsss. Sslaxx helps Spots. Spots_Fragrante yays! Spots_Fragrante brushes the snow off his head. Venya_Bluefur's ripple reaches Skunkie's bench, which wiggles briefly...then begins to sink, as snow is pulled out from under it. Spots_Fragrante trots over to Skunkie through the deep snow. Venya_Bluefur feels Spots' footfalls, so like Skunkie's, and pulls the snow out from under him. *Flumpp* One skunk gone. Spots_Fragrante runs! "I'll save yoooo! Spades rolls around in snow. Spots_Fragrante is sucked under. Skunkie unwinds her scarf and tosses one end to Spots to pull him in. Sslaxx watches and goes to pull Spots out of the snow again. ------------------ Logging to snow... <--That's what I called the logfile. Inventive, huh? ------------------ Spots_Fragrante grabs the scarf. Sslaxx helps heave Spots up. Venya_Bluefur sends snow shooting up out of the snow-pit as Venya examines his catch, the Spots comes spitting out in a spray of white, while the scarf goes suddenly VERY tight. Sslaxx erks. Spots_Fragrante eeks! Spots_Fragrante stretches! Venya_Bluefur tugs at the scarf, sensing something at the other end. Spots_Fragrante hassa go.. :( Spots_Fragrante hugs you! Let's hope he doesn't squeeze *too* hard! Sslaxx hisses, "Bye, Spots!" Sslaxx hugs Spots_Fragrante! Sslaxx eeps and pulls back. Spots_Fragrante eeks! and loses connection! Spots_Fragrante teleports away. Spots_Fragrante has left. Venya_Bluefur feels a skunkish resistance at the other end of the scarf, and pulls it taut, dragging it slowly down into the snow-pit. Sslaxx acks as he's pulled down into the snow-pit, trying to resist the force! Venya_Bluefur finds Sslaxx with several paws, yanking the reptile-skunk beneath the surface. Snow bursts up in a spray from the struggle, and then all is quiet.... Sslaxx yeows and AAH!s as he's pulled into the pit. Silence... Juanita takes that strawberry and eats it and struggles to get towards the snowpit, to drag wheover it is out. Venya_Bluefur rustles beneath the the snow, examining his prize. Venya_Bluefur flips Sslaxx back up out of the snow-pit in a splay of white. "Faugh! Are there no genuine Skunkies here?!" Shiiasa meeeeeeep? Sslaxx smirks. "Genuine?" Flicking his tail... Venya_Bluefur hears a distinctive, skunkish sound, and burrows off towards Shiiasa, convinced sie is Skunkie. There can be only so many mephits, after all. Juanita ohs! Juanita LOL!!! Shiiasa uh ohs! Venya_Bluefur's burrowmark approaches Shiiasa, crouched down on hir bed of snow, and then stops. Or, perhaps, he just burrowed deeper.... Shiiasa meeeeeeeps? taking a few steps back. Venya_Bluefur's forepaws erupt from the snow, seizing Shiiasa's midpaws in a nimble sixtoed grip! The snow gives way beneath hir, as he scoops out a cavity under her middle! Shiiasa MeeEEEeps! *foomp* Venya_Bluefur pulls at Shiiasa, dragging hir bit by bit beneath the snow. *GrabTugFondle(oops)Pull* Soon, only hir tail remains in view, half-sunk into the soft snowpit. Shiiasa's tail twitchtwitches!!! Venya_Bluefur examines his prize. It's not Skunkie, but it appears to suffice. *Smooch* ... (Cut a lot here) Venya_Bluefur pops his muzzle up out of the snow. "It's noisy up here. Could you keep it down a little? All this screaming and wailing." Sslaxx throws a Snowball at Venya. Sslaxx rolls his eyes and simply rolls around laughing. Venya_Bluefur withdraws back into the snow, where, after all, he still has Shiiasa to snuggle. Shiiasa meep! Sslaxx throws down Strawberries coated in Belgian Chocolate for Shiiasa and Venya. Spots_Fragrante flies down from the skies above and lands. Spots_Fragrante nuzzles you! Venya_Bluefur nuzzles Shiiasa, down under the snow. "Much annoyance up above." Venya_Bluefur nibbles on Shiiasa's scruff under the snow. It's tough pelt, it doesn't hurt very much at all. Shiiasa rrp! ... (Here too) Spots_Fragrante eeks! Skunkie's almost outta time! Spots_Fragrante churrs, "55 minutes!" Toast adjusts Skunkie's idle. Spots_Fragrante clutches Skunkie's fur, and doesn't let go. Nooo! 59 minute idle! NOOOO!!! Dun go! Spots_Fragrante pulls out a Stopwatch.. Spots_Fragrante times her =P Venya_Bluefur pets Shiiasa with his midpaws as he looks around. Of course, as he is up to his neck in the snow, there is no telling what else is going on down there. Spots_Fragrante hides from Falcora.. and waves Bye to Skunkie..Shes idling home.. hehe!
